Divers are an interesting lot. They're either WAY too careful or their absolutely not careful at all! It seems there is no in between with the lot.
As such, there is an almost illogical split between the two groups over whether or not to have a quality scuba diving cylinder -- also known commonly as a scuba tank. The very careful scuba divers state that even in shallow water you should have one -- just in case. However, there are some divers who insist that as long as the water is shallow, there's really no need for a hefty, expensive diving cylinder or scuba tank.
Who is to say which group is right? However there is one thing for certain -- if you're a new or beginning diver then you should absolutely get a high quality scuba tank no matter what school of thought you happen to come from. There's no ifs and's or buts about it!
Contrary to popular belief, quality scuba tanks are not ridiculously expensive. Nobody said you have to rent or buy the Mercedes Benz of scuba tanks -- but it would behoove you not to up and buy a Kia Suffia scuba cylinder. Are you seeing where we're going with this?
It's always preferable to lean towards a better safe than sorry viewpoint on things regarding scuba diving. At least until you've become experienced and wisened enough to actually be able to warrant saying otherwise.
There's no need to worry about such things anyways and you should instead be focusing on just how much fun your scuba experience is going to be! Get some nice equipment and go out there and learn how to scuba! Or if you've already learned then go out there and have some fun! It really is a wondrous experience that is second to none. So stop worrying about the pointless things like we've talked about here and instead be excited and happy of the prospect of going diving!
